:- Ashutosh Kumar's journey from the Indian Army to becoming a prominent political figure in Bihar reflects a remarkable transformation. After leaving the army, he returned to his home state, Bihar, and took the initiative to address the concerns of the upper castes, particularly the Bhumihar and Brahman communities. Forming the "Bhumihar Brahmin Ekta Manch Foundation," he organized numerous events across rural and urban Bihar, raising awareness about the present conditions of his community and urging them to unite for their rights. One of the significant milestones in Ashutosh's activism was the massive rally on November 7, 2018, at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Drawing over 2,00,000 people from Bhumihar and Brahman communities across Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya pradesh, Haryana and Delhi NCR, the event gained attention from intellectuals, media houses, and national-level leaders. This rally played a pivotal role in establishing Ashutosh as a prominent voice for his community. Ashutosh's activism extended to challenging the SC-ST act and advocating for reservation for the upper castes, eventually leading to the introduction of the EWS reservation. Seizing the momentum, he founded the "Rashtriya Jan Jan Party" just before the Bihar assembly elections in 2020. Despite the challenging circumstances during the COVID period, the party gained substantial support, with over 500,000 members joining within the first month. In the 2020 assembly elections, Ashutosh's party, with no pre-election alliances, outperformed established parties like Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Samta Party and Pappu Yadav's Jan Adhikar Party in several constituencies. His strategic move to invite Tejashwi Yadav as a guest at the Parshuram Jayanti Smaraoh in 2021 sparked debates, and the popular slogan "Dahi - Choora Combination" gained traction. Further showcasing his influence, Ashutosh actively campaigned for Amar Paswan, an RJD candidate, during the Bochaha by-election, contributing to Paswan's victory. In December 2023, Ashutosh organized a massive Bhumihar Mahapanchayat in Begusarai District, drawing more than 70,000 attendees from the Bhumihar and Brahman communities. Notably, Ashutosh Kumar has leveraged social media effectively, amassing over 2,12,000 followers on Facebook, solidifying his presence and outreach. His journey exemplifies a grassroots rise to political prominence, driven by a commitment to the welfare of his community and strategic political maneuvers in the complex landscape of Bihar politics.
